Should abortion be allowed if the mother wants an abortion because she has strong reason to believe . . .
1) the baby is a girl?
2) the baby will be gay?
3) the baby will be black or hispanic?
4) the baby will be mentally handicapped?
5) the baby will be physically handicapped?
6) the baby will be ugly?
Current abortion legislation permits all of these reasons since “abortion on demand” is about the mother’s privacy, autonomy, and body and not about the status of the yet unborn.
If you mean should there be a law preventing abortion on the above grounds, no. I do not think we should scrutinize a woman’s reason for wanting to end a pregnancy.
So you approve of discriminatory killing of human life whether on the basis of race, gender, handicap, etc. so long as it’s the mother’s choice to do so?
